"The Loop" Storyboards

The three sheets worth of storyboard above show the story of "The Loop" through sketches and descriptions of key scenes. A storyboard box is present for almost almost every key time the camera changes angle to show a different event happening within the scenes, which progresses the story right until the end.

"The Loop" Shooting Script

The Loop Script from J_Scott01

After consistently writing for a couple of weeks, the document above is the result of my original idea being translated into a fully-fledged shooting script for use during the film's production. I have written approximately three and a half pages, making the finished production hopefully 5 minutes long or less - if this is not the case, a line or two may have to be cut. Copies of this shooting script will be used whilst filming on location, as well as in-studio for guidance on the actor's lines and queues.

Magazine Pre-Production + Peer Feedback

Feedback from Peers:

• Like the idea of Sci-Fi based but worried it might be not suitable for everyone.

• Good detail in your pitch.

• Excellent flat plan.

• He included information about most topics and gave information for each.

• He also included a flat plan to help visualise his magazine.

• The colour scheme is a bit dull.

• Doesn't have many pictures.

• Has a lot of key information.

• Going through this pitch, it did a good job of getting the idea across to people and conceiving an original idea, although perhaps you could be limited by your set genre.

Initial Photoshoot

Above are some test shots from the photoshoot that were not used in the final product. Errors that are present within these examples include incorrect positioning and hair falling over the face which was corrected before the final product was produced. During the process multiple lighting tests were carried out in order to achieve an appropriate outcome against the green screen background.

Double Page Spread Comparison

(Original is on top)

This is my recreation of this James Bond double page spread, which I constructed on Photoshop. I attempted to make it as identical to the original as possible using only one image and tools inside of Photoshop. I struggled in recreating the text as it proved difficult to find a similar enough font and this took the most time. The image is the same shot, although the one featured on the original double page spread appears to have added contrast or altered brightness. For the most part I believe that mine appears similar enough to the original.

Magazine Recreation

Original: Left - Recreation: Right

I used photoshop to reconstruct this edition of "Doctor Who Magazine". The fonts used could be more accurate to the originals in some cases and the images could be cropped around better if I had more time.
